I've been riding around on my bike since 1996 and I'm still looking forward to every new tour. Most of the time I'm with my friends Markus, Tom, Herbert and Gerhard from Traunstein. We often go for the Stoisser Alm (Teisenberg), but we also love trips at the Lake Garda/Northern Italy. There are a lot of amazing trails in the Chiemgau Alpes, but the one through the Dolomites has been the most beautiful yet. Unfortunately it was the end of my hardtail, too, because the frame didn't support the rocks any longer. Due to Markus' help I'm now owner of a brand new full suspension bike: It's a "Marathon" by PAKKA. I am longing for a holiday at Lake Garda for a real hardcore test ride! If you are looking for a really blazing lighting system which will enlighten the darkest night take a look at www.lupine.de . Those guys really made it! One can fix the lamp on the bar as well as on the helmet, I even use it with cross country skiing.
Check this link for some information about this "famous" DOLOMITE TRIP taken from the MOUNTAINBIKE magazine. |

We were lucky with the weather and it rained only twice for a short period. This route would take us through the very heart of the Dolomites and we could admire the most famous peaks of this region. However, this means to carry or push the bike for a certain time!!! Only if you are strong in the saddle and have some mountain experience, this "Ronda Grande" will be a thrilling adventure.
